Embark on an exciting journey to create and manage your own thriving city in City Island: Collections. With hundreds of unique buildings spread across five islands, you’ll have the opportunity to design a bustling metropolis filled with skyscrapers, shops, bars, and more. While the game starts with a completely empty island, your financial management skills and strategic planning will determine whether your city becomes a luxurious hub or a modest town.

Getting Started: Your First Steps

At the beginning of the game, a short-haired girl in a yellow jumpsuit will guide you through the basics. Simply follow the blue arrows on the screen to complete your initial tasks. You’ll receive your first infrastructure package for free, which includes basic small houses. These buildings will be stored in your Buildings Information Book. To place a building, open the red book, select the desired island, and scroll through the available structures. Long-press and drop the building onto the desired location on your island.

Diverse Buildings for a Thriving City

To create a prosperous city, you’ll need a variety of buildings and infrastructure. City Island: Collections offers a wide range of structures to meet the needs of your residents, including:

• Residential buildings, from small houses with gardens to high-rise apartments.
• Entertainment venues like amusement parks and game centers.
• Decorative items such as trees, statues, bus stops, and flowers to bring your city to life.

All these buildings and decorations can be purchased using gold coins and resident card packs, so plan your spending wisely.

Explore and Unlock New Islands

Your city-building adventure takes place across five islands in the middle of a vast ocean. The central island is unlocked from the start, but you’ll need to develop it fully to unlock the surrounding islands. Each island has unique requirements, such as constructing a specific number of buildings or merging houses to create new structures like cafes, restaurants, and farms. The more you build, the more vibrant and attractive your city becomes, encouraging residents to stay and thrive.

Earning Money and Managing Resources

To purchase house card packs, you’ll need money, gold, or diamonds. You can earn coins by collecting money from your houses. Once a house is inaugurated, it starts generating income over time. A truck will regularly move around your city to collect money from houses that display a green money pile above them. The waiting time and amount of money generated vary depending on the type of house, so prioritize upgrading your buildings to increase income and reduce waiting periods.

Grow Your City and Build Your Reputation

As you merge buildings, collect cards, and upgrade structures, your city will grow in popularity. Players from around the world can visit your island, and the more developed it becomes, the more your reputation will grow. Complete missions to prove your skills as a talented mayor and unlock new opportunities. Upgraded buildings not only earn more money but also shorten the waiting time for income generation.
