Starting your journey in Zoo Life begins with reclaiming land. Use a shovel to clear broken puddles and small cannons to break any stones obstructing your path. Once the land is flat and clean, you can use your earnings to purchase animal camps. Each animal requires a specific type of barn tailored to its needs. Arrange these barns neatly, ensuring there’s enough space between them for visitor pathways. To add animals, click on the animal paw icon in the bottom-left corner to access the animal list.

Introducing Animals to Your Zoo

After purchasing animals that fit into the barns, a helicopter will arrive carrying a large wooden crate. Click on the crate to earn extra hearts and release the animal into its new habitat. Let the animals explore and adapt to their new surroundings. When they’re hungry, a thought bubble with food will appear above their heads. Use gold coins to buy food, which varies in quantity depending on the animal’s size. Once they’ve eaten, you can collect green dollars and gain experience points to level up.

A thriving zoo needs a diverse range of animals, and Zoo Life offers plenty of options. In the shop, you’ll find cards for animals from various habitats—forests, icy regions like the Arctic, and aquatic environments. As you progress, you’ll unlock rare animals such as white bears, pandas, tigers, lions, penguins, and polar bears. Create specialized areas like icy zones for polar bears or spacious lakes for swans to ensure their comfort.

Designing Your Zoo Layout

The layout of your zoo is entirely up to you. Place shops, restaurants, and play areas like circuses or aquariums wherever you see fit. If you’re unhappy with the placement of an animal cage, long-press on it to activate green arrows, allowing you to move it freely. Use wooden blocks or blue brick strips to create pathways, and purchase decorative items like trees, balloons, and ribbons to enhance the zoo’s aesthetic appeal.

Completing Tasks and Leveling Up

If caring for animals throughout the day feels monotonous, Zoo Life offers tasks to keep things exciting. Check the task board in the bottom-left corner of the screen to see what needs to be done. Completing these tasks earns you hearts, which contribute to your experience points. Additionally, keeping your animals happy and well-fed will also reward you with hearts. Once you’ve collected enough hearts to fill the level circle, you’ll advance to the next level, unlocking new buildings and animals.

Special Events and Unique Decorations

Zoo Life features special events that introduce unique decorations and rare animals. These events are one-time opportunities, so make sure to participate and earn exclusive items to personalize your zoo. Your zoo staff, dressed in uniforms, will assist in caring for the animals and managing food supplies. Stockpile food to ensure your animals are always well-fed.
